Team Titans

Iroc-u 2026

Team Titans of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur, secured Third Position nationally in the ISRO Robotics Challenge–University Edition (IRoC-U) 2026, organized by U. R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO, Bengaluru. Competing against 600+ proposals through an eight-month, four-round challenge, the team reached the Top 20 national finalists. Under the theme “ASCEND – Towards Swarm Expedition,” the team developed an autonomous aerial robotic system for exploration in GPS-denied, Mars-like environments, demonstrating navigation, surveying, feature detection, precision landing, communication and data transfer capabilities. The team won a cash prize of ₹5 lakh.

This achievement marks Team Titans’ third consecutive national success and third consecutive appearance in the IRoC-U national finals. The journey began with the 2024 national championship-winning lunar rover GURUtva, followed by Fourth Position in 2025 under “Fly Me to Mars.” The sustained success reflects strong technical continuity, knowledge transfer and mentorship across successive student teams. Dr. Sandip Khedkar, Institute Mentor, and Mr. Niket Malusare, Industrial Mentor, Electus Technologies Pvt. Ltd., provided continued guidance. The 2026 team is led by Anushka Gupta, with Aman Sharma, Manthan Mowale, Om Jumle, Ayush Rodekar and Shreyash Khedgarkar.

Iroc-u 2025

The Indian Space Research Organisation Robotics Challenge – University Edition 2025 (IRoC-U 2025), organized by the U. R. Rao Satellite Centre, focused on autonomous aerial navigation for Mars-like environments under the theme “Fly Me to Mars.” The competition challenged students to design aerial vehicles capable of autonomous navigation, terrain analysis, safe landing detection, and return missions without GPS or external navigation aids.

Out of more than 500 participating institutions nationwide, 16 teams advanced to the finals held at URSC in August 2025. Team Titans from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering received a Special Innovation Award and secured 4th Prize for their unique aerial robotics approach.  The team was felicitated by Jitendra Singh and V. Narayanan on 23 August 2025 during the National Space Day celebrations at Bharat Mandapam.
