The Seven Strings Music Club of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering is a dynamic and creative platform dedicated to nurturing musical talent and promoting cultural expression among students. The club brings together passionate singers, instrumentalists, and performers, providing them with opportunities to explore, collaborate, and showcase their musical abilities. Under the leadership of President Akash Bodkhe and the guidance of Faculty In-charge Prof. Gaurav Gondhalekar, the club has emerged as one of the most active and influential cultural bodies within the institute.

The primary vision of the club is to foster a vibrant musical culture within the college campus. It aims to create an inclusive environment where students can express themselves through music while enhancing their confidence, creativity, and teamwork. The club continuously strives to strengthen both the artistic and technical abilities of its members by encouraging participation in performances, collaborations, competitions, and workshops.

The Seven Strings Music Club actively organizes a variety of musical and cultural events, including live performances, open mic sessions, jam sessions, and collaborative cultural programs. Among its signature events are Teacher’s Day Sargam, a heartfelt musical tribute to faculty members; Crafted Mic, an interactive and collaborative open mic platform; and Strings of Smiles, a fundraiser event that combines music with social impact. These events provide students with valuable stage exposure and help them develop confidence and professional performance skills.

During the academic year 2025–26, the club successfully organized and participated in several major events, including the Installation Ceremony, Teacher’s Day Sargam, Crafted Mic, NASA MUN, Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav, Flute Workshop, Music Workshop, and Strings of Smiles. These events collectively engaged hundreds of participants and attracted a large audience from both within and outside the college campus. Through collaborations with various student organizations and external groups, the club expanded its outreach and created diverse learning and performance opportunities for its members.

The club has also gained recognition through its participation in prestigious cultural events. One of its most notable achievements was performing as part of Band Pralay at the Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav, where the team delivered the grand opening act for renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal’s concert. The energetic and impactful performance received immense appreciation and brought significant exposure to the club, showcasing its talent on a large public platform.

In addition to performances, the club strongly emphasizes learning and skill development through workshops and training sessions. Events such as the Flute Workshop and Music Workshop, conducted by experienced musicians, provide students with opportunities to improve their technical knowledge, musical understanding, and stage confidence. The club encourages exploration across diverse musical genres, including classical, Bollywood, Western, and fusion music, helping students broaden their artistic perspectives.

The Seven Strings Music Club also actively contributes to social causes through initiatives like Strings of Smiles, a fundraiser event organized in collaboration with a non-profit organization to support underprivileged children. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment not only to music and entertainment but also to social responsibility and community engagement.

Participation in the club enables students to develop essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, event management, communication, and creative thinking.
