Compufest 2k24, a tech fest organized by Department of Computer Technology, took place on 23rd and 24th August 2024. The event featured a wide range of activities including coding challenges, gaming competitions, workshops, and tech-based contests such as Tech Hackathon, Power BI, Scripted Secrets, and AIML workshops. A total of 411 participants participated in the event. The inauguration was conducted by Sneha Taori, a dynamic corporate trainer, TEDx speaker, and aspiring business-woman. She specializes in topics ranging from digital media literacy to business strategy, setting the tone for an inspiring and knowledge-rich fest.

✨Compufest 2k25✨

Compufest 2K25, the annual flagship fest jointly organized by the Departments of Computer Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and CSE–IoT at YCCE, was conducted with great enthusiasm on the 22nd and 23rd of August 2025. The two-day celebration of knowledge and talent served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their technical expertise, creativity, and competitive spirit.

The fest encompassed a diverse spectrum of events, seamlessly integrating intellectual challenges with engaging recreational activities. On the technical front, students actively participated in Prompt-A-Thon, CodeRush – a challenging 24-hour Hackathon, Scripted Secrets, Fastest Frontend First, and Tech Quiz, each designed to foster innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork. Complementing the technical rigor were sports events such as Box Cricket and Arm Wrestling, which brought energy and camaraderie to the fest, offering participants a perfect balance of mind and body engagement.

Glimpses of Compufest 2k24

On 23rd August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology at YCCE organized a “Tech Hackathon” providing students with a platform to showcase their technical prowess and collaborate on innovative projects. Mr. Aniruddha Kalbande, CEO, Fireblaze conducted the Hackathon. Participants were given a specific challenge or theme and had a limited timeframe to develop a solution. The hackathon aimed to inspire students to think outside the box, apply their knowledge to real-world problems, and potentially create groundbreaking technologies.
The hackathon was a vibrant and exhilarating experience. Participants were immersed in a collaborative and competitive environment. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy as teams worked tirelessly to bring their ideas to life.

On 24th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized the “Versus Coding” event as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This coding competition aimed to:
  • Challenge participants to solve complex coding problems within a limited time.
  • Promote healthy competition among students and enhance their programming skills.
  • Provide a platform for both in-person and online participants to demonstrate their coding prowess.
The event was intense and competitive, pushing participants to think critically and code efficiently under pressure. The participants left the session with enhanced problem-solving abilities and a strong motivation to refine their coding techniques.

On 24th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized “Optimizer” as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This event aimed to : Challenge participants to optimize their problem-solving skills through a series of tasks.
The event was engaging and stimulating, pushing participants to think critically and strategically. By the end of the session, participants had honed their optimization skills and gained a deeper understanding of efficient problem-solving techniques.

On 24th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized “Scripted
Secrets” as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This technical treasure hunt aimed to:Engage
participants in a fun and interactive way through clues and games with a technical twist.
Challenge problem-solving and teamwork skills in a creative and dynamic environment.
Provide a unique and enjoyable learning experience that combined technical knowledge with
an element of adventure.

On 24th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized a “Resume
Building Competition” as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This competition aimed to: Help
participants craft compelling and professional resumes tailored to their career goals. Provide
guidance on effective resume writing techniques and the latest industry trends. Offer
participants an opportunity to showcase their resume-building skills in a competitive setting.

On 23rd August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized a “TechBuzz” event as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This technical quiz aimed to: Challenge participants with a variety of questions focused on debugging, coding, and error spotting. Foster a competitive spirit among students and enhance their technical problem-solving skills. Provide a platform for participants to test their coding knowledge and improve their
error-spotting abilities.

On 24th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized “DZGnathon” as
part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This designing competition aimed to: Challenge participants to
showcase their creativity and design skills in a competitive environment. Provide a platform
for students to experiment with innovative design concepts and tools.

Computer Technology Department organized a captivating flashmob as part of their
departmental fest. The event took place on August 23rd and featured a coordinated dance
performance by a group of students. Elements of the Flashmob: Coordinated Dance: The
students performed a well-rehearsed and synchronized dance routine.Energetic Music:
Upbeat music added to the dynamic atmosphere of the flashmob.Student Involvement: The
flashmob was a collaborative effort involving multiple students from Computer Technology
Department.Audience Engagement: The performance was designed to engage and excite the
audience.

The Open Mic event at Compufest 2K24 provided a platform for students to showcase their
diverse talents, creating a memorable evening filled with music, poetry & comedy. Open to
all students, the event encouraged individual participation, allowing performers to captivate
the audience with their unique expressions of creativity.

Computer Technology department successfully hosted an exhilarating Arm-Wrestling
Championship on 24th August as part of their departmental fest. The event showcased the
strength, skill, and determination of the students. Participants from various departments
competed in intense matches, creating a thrilling atmosphere for spectators.

A thrilling tug of war competition was conducted that pitted teams against each other in a
battle of strength and strategy. Participants from various departments formed teams and
competed for the coveted title. The event generated excitement and enthusiasm among
students.

On 23rd August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized a “Chess” event
as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This non-technical competition aimed to:Engage participants
in strategic gameplay through competitive chess matches.Encourage critical thinking,
foresight, and patience as players navigated the complexities of the game.Provide a platform
for chess enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete in a friendly environment.

The Lens Crafter Event was a photography competition held as part of Compufest 2K24
organized by the Computer Technology department. This event provided a platform for
students to showcase their creativity and technical skills in the field of photography.

The Smash Kart Tournament was a thrilling online event hosted by the Computer Technology
Department as part of Compufest. This exciting competition brought together students from
various departments to showcase their gaming skills and compete for the title of Smash Karts
Champion. Participants battled it out in intense races, demonstrating their strategic abilities
and quick reflexes. The event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of camaraderie and
friendly competition among the student community.

On 24th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized “BGMI
(Battlegrounds Mobile India)” as part of COMPUFEST 2k24. This non-technical event aimed to: Engage participants in an exciting online gaming competition through Battlegrounds Mobile India. Foster teamwork, strategy, and competitive spirit in a virtual gaming environment. Provide a platform for gamers to showcase their skills and compete in a fun and dynamic setting.

The Computer Technology department successfully hosted a thrilling Valorant tournament as part of Compufest 2k24. The event showcased the competitive spirit and gaming skills of students from various departments.

On 10th August 2024, the Department of Computer Technology organized a Power BI Workshop in collaboration with YCCE ACM. The objectives of the workshop were to: Equip students and professionals with advanced skills in data analysis and business intelligence using Power BI.
The workshop featured sessions led by two distinguished speakers:
1. Vaibhav Lambat – Business Analyst at Evercam, who shared his expertise in using Power BI for business analysis, offering real-world examples and best practices.
2. Rushika Kale – Talent Intelligence Consultant at Philips, who discussed the application of Power BI in the healthcare sector and the importance of data-driven strategies.
The workshop successfully achieved its goals, enhancing the technical skills of the attendees and promoting a deeper understanding of Power BI’s applications in various industries.

Department of Computer Technology organized a webinar titled “Global Careers in AIML” as
part of Compufest 2k24. This event, held on 17th August 2024 at 4 PM on MS Teams (online), focused on opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) for aspiring tech professionals. The webinar featured Nilesh Saratkar, a Data Engineering Lead, as the keynote speaker.
