Report on IRoC-U 2025

The Indian Space Research Organisation Robotics Challenge – University Edition 2025 (IRoC-U 2025), organized by the U. R. Rao Satellite Centre, focused on autonomous aerial navigation for Mars-like environments under the theme “Fly Me to Mars.” The competition challenged students to design aerial vehicles capable of autonomous navigation, terrain analysis, safe landing detection, and return missions without GPS or external navigation aids.

Out of more than 500 participating institutions nationwide, 16 teams advanced to the finals held at URSC in August 2025. Team Titans from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering received a Special Innovation Award and secured 4th Prize for their unique aerial robotics approach.  The team was felicitated by Jitendra Singh and V. Narayanan on 23 August 2025 during the National Space Day celebrations at Bharat Mandapam.
