✨SESSION 23-24✨

1.An insighful session on “Empowering the future with Azure and Dot Net” was organized successfully by the ACM Student Chapter YCCE on 14th March 2024. The international speaker Mrs. Apoorva Boratne Satokar, Standard Bank, British Crown Dependency shared her visionary insights.

2.It was a symposium “Know it all”, organized by the ACM Student Chapter, YCCE on 26 April 2024. The session was about providing the insights on the student development programs like CP, Data Science, Google Cloud, Learn Student Ambassador Program, Github Student Pack, Cybersecuruty, MOOC Linkedin etc and free learning courses available for the students from all disciplines.

3. Under ACM Chapter The online session on “Mastering DSA and Mentoring on Off Campus Placements” witnessed a large audience with curious, enthusiastic and techy students. The online session illuminated the mind of our fellow attendees and helped them to get clarity about DSA and college placements.  It sowed the fundamental seed of preparation and guidance for paving a strong professional career in the IT industry. Our esteemed speaker, Mr. Sankalp Kotewar, currently working as SDE 2 at
Microsoft unveiled the roadmap to excel in campus placements.

4. The Department of Computer Technology in association with CTSC  hosted  a Social Activity event, the “Donation Drive,” during the 2024-2025 session. Organized by Prof. Supriya Thombre and Prof. Kalyani Karule, the event is scheduled for 13 JAN 2024, at Yeshwant Stadium, Nagpur, starting from 4.45 PM onwards. This drive aims to unite the academic community for a charitable cause, encouraging participants to contribute various items, from clothing to educational materials.

5. The Department of Computer Technology under ACM chapter successfully conducted a “Git and GitHub workshop” on October 7th, 2023, featuring Gandhar Patwardhan as the speaker. The workshop’s primary objective was to educate students on the fundamental concepts and significance of Git and GitHub in software development.

6. On November 9, 2023, the Department of Computer Technology under CTSC organized a session titled “Journey to Entrepreneurship” led by Mr. Aniruddha Kalbande, Managing Director of Fireblaze Technologies Private Limited. The session aimed to provide insights into entrepreneurship and its significance. Mr. Kalbande ensured the session was interactive and engaging, catering to the students’ interests. He shared his entrepreneurial journey and used real-life examples for easy comprehension

7. The Department of Computer Technology under CTSC organized a “NIRMALYA” Collection Drive in association with NSS and Rotaract, YCCE on the occasion of Anant Chaturthi, September 28, 2023. During the Ganesha festival, devotees often tend to immerse offerings along with the idol of Lord Ganesha during the Visarjan. This practice leads to severe pollution of water bodies. In order to prevent harm to these water bodies, our department decided to conduct a Nirmalya collection drive.

8. The Department of Computer Technology under CTSC hosted a seminar on “Graduate Admissions & International Career Opportunities” on 06th February 2024. The seminar aimed to provide valuable insights into graduate admissions processes and international career prospects for students in the field of technology7. 9. The Department of Computer Technology under CTSC hosted a Seminar on “Decoding GATE: Tips and Tricks for GATE” was organized by YCCE, Nagpur, under the able coordination of Prof. Pradnya S. Moon. The event aimed to provide valuable insights and strategies to the third-year students preparing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The session was conducted by Mr. Kausik Agastyaraj, an expert in the field, on 12th March 2024.

10. The Department of Computer Technology under ACM chapter hosted a VAC on Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) is an initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship among individuals. This report aims to provide an overview and evaluation of an EDP conducted over a 10th Feb 2024 To 06th May 2024 period.

11. The Department of Computer Technology under ACM chapter hosted a “Programming and Logic Building” is an initiative aimed to develop Problem-Solving This report aims to provide an overview and evaluation of an Programming and Logic Building conducted over a 17th Feb 2024 To 03th May 2024 period.

12. The Department of Computer Technology under ACM chapter organised a VAC on Networking and Cloud Computing from 5th Aug 23 to 20th sept 23.Online conduction of VAC is done. Mr. Raj Arora, Senior Network Engineer, Revat  Network was the Resource person for the Course. This course was successfully conducted. This event gave an overall understanding of the Networking and Cloud Computing Concepts. Students were benefitted from this Course.  The coordinator for the program was Prof. N.U.Sambhe, CT, YCCE

13. The Department of Computer Technology under CTSC chapter organized “Angel Investment/VC Funding Opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs” on 29th August 2023 at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering Nagpur. The main objective of the Seminar was to aware students about Angel Investment/VC Funding Opportunity and to take a benefit of the good Opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs ideas for the Future.

14.Department of Computer Technology under CTSC had organised Guest Lecture on, “Research Methodology”, on 19/03/2024, for 6th Semester Computer Technology and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science students. Dr. Amol Bhopale, Assistant Professor, CSE Department, IIIT, Nagpur was the guest speaker for the workshop. This workshop was successfully conducted.

15. The Department of Computer Technology under CTSC organized a session on ‘Profile Building and Resume Writing’ On October 10, 2023 led by Mr. Akshay Jain, Centre Head of LiveTechSkills. The session aimed to provide insights into resume writing and its significance. Mr. Akshay Jain ensured the session was interactive and engaging, making it appealing to students. He primarily focused on avoiding common resume mistakes, using real-life examples for easy understanding.

16. The Department of Computer Technology under CTSC and ACM chapter organized a “SAMPARK Alumini Conclave” by inviting five distinguished alumini’s namely Ms. Shruti Menon, Associate Data Scientist at First Solar Inc. Perrysburg, Ohio, Mr. Tushar Kulkarni, MS in Secure Computing, Indiana University, Bloomington, USA, Mr. Kshitij Kuhikar, Co-Founder BATBIRD, Co-Founder DIME Application. Owner of La-Carma Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, Mr. Gaurav Kherde, Android Application Development Analyst, Accenture, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, and Mr. Mrunal Dhumne, MBA in Business Administration and Management, IIM Kozhikode, Kerala, India. The conclave’s main focus was providing career guidance by the alumni to their juniors.

17. The Department of Computer Technology organized in association with CTSC a Student Development program on the topic of Generative AI. Prof. Kalyani Karule was the Resource person for the SDP. This workshop was successfully conducted on 30/4/2024. This event gave an overall understanding of the AI.  The coordinator for the program was Prof. Kalyani Karule,CT Dept,YCCE, Nagpur

18. The Department of Computer Technology organized in association with CTSC a Student development program on “Software Development Process in Industary and Introduction to DevOPs DI/CD PIPELINE” on 21/3/2024.Mr. Rahul Raut currently working as Head- DevOps and Automation at Orangebits Software Technologies India Pvt Ltd,Nagpur was the Resource person for the workshop.

19.Dept. of Computer Technologyunder ACM chapter has organised an VAC on “Core Competency Building” from 10th Feb 24 to 13th April 24. Conduction of VAC is done. Inhouse faculty members were the Resource persons for the Course. This course was successfully conducted. This event gave an overall understanding and preparation of the Adv SQL, Data structure, OOP, Python and Aptitude test for placement perspective. Students were benefitted from this Course.

20. The Dept. of Computer Technology , YCCE, Nagpur in Association with ACM Student Chapter organised an Guest Lecture on “Profile Building and resume writing” on 21/9/2023. Mr. Manish Kumar Hate, Freelance Skill Development Trainer under MHRD Govt of India, Delhi was the Resource person for the Guest Lecture.

21. A Blood Donation Camp was organized by the Department of Computer Technology in association with CTSC on 19th July 2023 in affiliation with Ayush Blood Center and Component Lab. The camp took place at the ground floor in the CCC building YCCE. Refreshments were provided to those who have donated blood by the department. Many students, college staff participated in this blood donation camp with Goodwill.
