Department of Information Technology, YCCE Nagpur had organized Two days National level Technical Fest “iTECHROOTS 14.o” during 23th-24th August 2024, under the banner of SPIRIT – Computer Society of India (CSI), New Delhi. The convener of the Technical Fest was Dr. Rajesh Dharmik , Head of Information Technology Department. The Chief Guest of the program was Dr. Rajesh Dharmik . The Technical Fest was coordinated by Prof. Amol Gaikwad, co-coordinated by Prof. SnehaV.Tiparkar. The Various events conducted in “iTECHROOTS 14.o”, were Beat the Mark,Fix-a-Thom,Quiz Mania,Web Designing Jam, Hackathon, Mystic Rhythm, Photo Arena, Poster Design, Box Cricket, Futsal, Chess. Apart from events the workshop on AI Powered Block Chain Development , Web 3, NFT’S and Smart Contracts , Project to Entrepreneurship , Autonomous Agent and Deep Learning were also organized for the Students.
Around 700 students from YCCE, GHRCE, St. Vincent Palloti, SB Jain, SDMP, RGCER, KDK, G.H. Riasoni polytechnic and other engineering colleges participated in the Technical Fest. The program was aimed to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talent in various technical and nontechnical events. The program concluded with awarding prizes, mementos, and certificates to the winners and participants of various events.

Itechroots 15.0, the annual flagship fest organized by the Departments of Information Technology, and CSD at YCCE, was conducted with great enthusiasm on the 22nd and 23rd of August 2025. The two-day celebration of knowledge and talent served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their technical expertise, creativity, and competitive spirit.
The fest encompassed a diverse spectrum of events, seamlessly integrating intellectual challenges with engaging recreational activities. On the technical front, students actively participated in Beat the Mark,Code Clash,,Quiz Mania,Web ,Hackathon,Free Fire,Valorant,Photo Arena ,Poster Design ,Box Cricket,Futsal ,Chess,BGMI-Tournament,Start Up Saga,Catch the Criminal, Apart from events the workshop on Full Stack Development , Web 3, NFT’S and Smart Contracts , Projectto Enterpernership , Autonomous Agent and Deep Learning were also organized for the Students, each designed to foster innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork. Complementing the technical rigor were sports events, which brought energy and camaraderie to the fest, offering participants a perfect balance of mind and body engagement.

In iTECHROOTS 14.0,” Mystic Rythm” Each participant has to perform before the judges, where up on they are given 90 seconds to demonstrate their act, with a live audience present for all performances. At the end of a performance, the judges give constructive criticism and feedback about what they saw, whereupon they each give a vote – a participant who receives a majority vote approving their performance, moves on to the next stage, otherwise they are eliminated from the show at that stage.

Quiz mania is essentially an Android-based quiz game across six categories, aimed at brushing up and enhancing the general knowledge and awareness of the user. The main objective is to provide a base for the foundation of the project. It gives a comprehensive view of how the system is supposed to work and what is to be expected by the end users. Client’s expectation and requirements are analyzed to produce specific unambiguous functional and non-functional requirements, so they can be used by development team with clear understanding to build a system as per end user needs. This SRS for Quiz mania can also be used for future as basis for detailed understanding on how the project was started. It provides a blueprint to upcoming new developer and maintenance teams to assist in maintaining and modifying this project as per required changeability.

In iTECHROOTS 14.0, “Workshop on AI Powered Blockchain Development ” was held at YCCE in offline mode. The Workshop was conducted by our guest ‘Mr. Pratik ’. Sir was welcomed by ‘Mrs. Snehal V. Tiparkar ’ ma’am with a bouquet. The Workshop started at 01:00 PM . at Information Technology Department on 25th August Sir explained the basic concepts of AI Powered Blockchain Development through presentation and demos. Around 37 students participated in the Workshop on AI Powered Blockchain Development . The program was aimed to provide students knowledge about AI Powered Blockchain Development Sir Conducted two session in 1st Session sir Demonstrate the what is AI Powered Blockchain Development and how it works? , key Components: Blocks, Transactions and Consensus , also explain(BFT) Byzantinje Fault Tolerance in Blockchain .2nd Session Hands on Activity , Setting up a simple private Blockchain , Adding Transaction to Block, Mining blocks. This workshop was followed by a Question and Answer session in which participants asked doubts regarding the Blockchain Development. The workshop ended at 04:00 p.m.
