The Techfest ICON 24.0, organized by the Department of Electronics Engineering and the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, was a great success. It attracted participants from various backgrounds, including students, researchers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts. The event featured a wide range of activities, such as keynote addresses, workshops, industry interactions, and networking opportunities, contributing significantly to knowledge dissemination, skill development, and industry-academia collaboration in the fields of electronics and telecommunications. It showcased YCCE’s dedication to promoting innovation, academic excellence, and industry engagement, setting the stage for future technological advancements and breakthroughs. The techfest was inaugurated by Mr. Arvind Kumar, the Head of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Nagpur, and the Guest of Honor, Mr. Deepak Singh, the Manager at Airports
Authority of India (AAI). In attendance were the Head of the Electronics Department, Dr.P.P. Palsodkar, the Head of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Dr. M. S. Narlawar, Student Activity Incharge, Dr. S. A. Dhondse, and Dr. V. D. Bondre.

Participants gave overwhelmingly positive feedback and offered valuable suggestions for future events. The competition provided a commendable opportunity for students to exhibit their prowess in the field and engage in mutual learning. It underscored the vibrant community spirit and collaborative learning fostered among students. The success of the Robo Race Competition reflects the growing interest and talent in robotics within the student community, affirming the event’s role in nurturing a culture of technological exploration and skill development.

The Wall Street Simulation attracted a mix of aspiring traders, finance enthusiasts, and students eager to gain practical insights into the complexities of financial markets. Participants were tasked with managing virtual portfolios, making investment decisions, and navigating market fluctuations in a dynamic and competitive trading environment. The simulation followed a structured format, with participants divided into teams and provided access to virtual trading platforms simulating real-world market conditions. Over the course of the event, teams engaged in simulated trading sessions, analyzing market data, executing trades, and adjusting their investment strategies in response to changing market trends.
The Wall Street Simulation at Techfest ‘ICON 24.0’ provided participants with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial markets and hone their trading skills in a risk-free environment. As the finance industry continues to evolve, events like these play a crucial role in preparing future generations of traders and finance professionals for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

In this exciting and challenging activity, participants will have the opportunity to construct
a block tower using the crane they previously built, as mentioned in the “Grab the Block”
event statement. This activity tests not only their crane’s capabilities but also their
engineering and teamwork skills.
The Grab the Block Challenge attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, including
students, athletes, and puzzle enthusiasts, all eager to showcase their skills and competitive
spirit in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Participants formed teams and strategized
to retrieve blocks from a designated area while overcoming obstacles and challenges.
As the spirit of competition and challenge continues to inspire participants and spectators
alike, events like these serve as a reminder of the thrill of pushing oneself to new limits and
achieving success through determination and perseverance.

The Laser Gun Competition attracted participants from various backgrounds, including
casual enthusiasts and dedicated competitors, all eager to test their skills in simulated
combat scenarios. Equipped with top-of-the-line laser tag gear, participants engaged in
intense battles across specially designed arenas, demonstrating their reflexes, strategy, and
teamwork.
The competition followed a structured format, featuring a series of rounds and gameplay
modes designed to challenge participants’ tactical acumen and marksmanship skills. In this
exciting game, participants formed teams of 3 or 4 players each and were armed with laser
guns. The battleground? A dark room filled with suspense and excitement.
The Laser Gun Competition at Techfest ‘ICON 24.0’ was a resounding success, bringing
together gaming enthusiasts and technology aficionados in a celebration of innovation,
teamwork, and friendly competition. As the gaming landscape continues to evolve, events
like these serve as a testament to the enduring appeal of interactive gaming experiences and
the boundless potential of technology to inspire and entertain.

The Department of Electronics Engineering Organized the Techfest “ICON 24.0” under which the “ROBO SOCCER” was organized. The Competition was decided to be held in offline mode. For that, the registration form was shared on August 10, 2024. All the required instructions were shared with the participants one day before the Competition through Whatsapp group. This competition was conducted in front of Electronics Department. The reporting time was given as 10:00 a.m. All participants reached the on time. The attendance sheet was signed by all participants. The Event was a Soccer competition with the bots operated by participants. Rules were exactly same as the actual game. Two players played at a time. Winner will be there who score maximum goals in an event. Every round is of 3 min and 30 seconds of practice was given to participants to get grip of bots.
The event received an overwhelming response, with a total of 35 registrations. Most of the
participation is of 2nd year YCCE students. Students from other colleges has also shown interest as well as participation.

During ICON 24.0, the Electronics Department organized the Path Finder Puzzle event,
where participants navigated a complex puzzle using robotic bots. The challenge tested
problem-solving, teamwork, and robotics knowledge. Teams programmed bots to find the
most efficient route, avoiding obstacles and optimizing performance. The competition drew
enthusiastic participation from students across departments and highlighted the practical
applications of robotics. The event concluded with the winners receiving certificates and
prizes, making it one of the most exciting events of ICON 24.0.

The Electronics Department successfully organized a PCB Design event as part of ICON 24.0. The event was designed to introduce participants to the principles and techniques of printed circuit board (PCB) design, utilizing specialized software for creating electronic circuits. Participants from various departments participated in the event, showcasing great enthusiasm and eagerness.
The winners of the PCB DESIGN Competition were announced after the performance. The first prize was awarded to “Soumya Vishnu Borkar” for her outstanding Performance. The second prize was awarded to “Abhishek Biswas”.
The event concluded with a showcase of the participants’ designs, where they received
constructive feedback from the instructors. Overall, the PCB Design event was a great success, promoting practical skills and fostering innovation among the participants.

The Robo War Competition drew a diverse range of participants, including robotics enthusiasts, engineering students, and hobbyists. They were all eager to showcase their custom-built robots’ design, engineering, and combat abilities. Equipped with weapons and armor, the robots battled it out in a fierce arena. The competition, held at Techfest ‘ICON 24.0’, provided participants with an exhilarating platform to display their robotics prowess and combat skills in a competitive environment. Such events demonstrate the boundless potential for innovation and creativity within the field of robotics as technology continues to advance.

The T-ICON event, held on August 24, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Electronics Department Conference Hall, YCCE. This competitive event, with six participants, was designed to enhance skills and prepare for real-world placement scenarios. The event featured two main rounds: an Aptitude Test and an Interview. The Aptitude Test assessed participants’ problem-solving and logical reasoning abilities through multiple-choice questions on various topics. Performance in this round determined eligibility for the Interview Round, which consisted of both technical and HR components. The technical interview evaluated participants’ field-specific knowledge, while the HR interview focused on communication and soft skills.

Successful candidates were those who excelled in both rounds. Winners were recognized with certificates and prizes. The primary goals of T-ICON were to offer a simulated placement experience to identify strengths and areas for improvement, and to aid in preparation for actual job interviews and campus placements.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication successfully organized a Technical Treasure Hunt event on the 23rd of August, 2024. The event aimed to engage students in a fun yet challenging activity that combined technical knowledge with problem solving skills. The Treasure Hunt consisted of four rounds, each designed to test different aspects of the participants’ technical prowess and teamwork.
A total of 17 groups registered for the event, with each group comprising 4 participants. This
brought the total number of participants to 68 students. The entry fee for the event was set at ₹100 per group, making the total collection ₹1,700.
The event was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. Participants appreciated the innovative and challenging format of the event, particularly praising the balance between technical challenges and engaging activities. Many expressed that the event provided a refreshing break from regular academic activities while still being intellectually stimulating.
The Technical Treasure Hunt was a resounding success, with participants expressing their enthusiasm and appreciation for the well-structured and engaging rounds.

On August 22, 2024, the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Nagpur hosted an exciting futsal match at DMMC Turf from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The event aimed to unite sports enthusiasts and foster camaraderie and competition.
Registration for the match began on August 18, 2024, with participants receiving match rules and details via a dedicated WhatsApp group. Players were required to report by 7:00AM for pre-match formalities and warm-ups. The match started promptly after a brief introduction by the organizers. With 26 participants involved, the game showcased excellent teamwork and strategic play.
The event was overseen by Dr. Dhondse and the core committee, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules.
The futsal match proved to be a major success, offering not only a chance for physical activity but also promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Both organizers and participants were highly satisfied, marking the event as a standout moment in the semester’s extracurricular calendar.

The Box Cricket Tournament at Techfest ‘ICON 24.0’ featured teams with just 6 players, creating a more compact and fast-paced version of the game. With fewer players on each side, the action intensified as batsmen aimed to score quickly, and fielders had to be agile to prevent runs. Inter-team matches were held, and in the end, one team was declared the winner. This event provided participants with an exciting platform to showcase their cricketing talents and passion for the sport in an indoor setting. As cricket continues to evolve, events like these play a crucial role in promoting the sport and fostering a sense of
community among cricket enthusiasts.

The Department of Electronics Engineering Organized the Techfest “ICON 23.0” under
which the “BGMI” was Organized. The Competition was decided to be held in of Online
mode. For that, the registration form was shared on September 25, 2023. All the required
instructions were shared with the participants one day before the Competition through
whatsapp group. This competition was conducted in online mode. Game playing time was
givens 05:00 p.m. onwards All participants played on time. The Event was a BGMI Game
competition with own mobile operated by participants. Rules were exactly same as the
Tournaments game. 15 team players played at a time in 1 room. Player from each game is
shortlisted and then competition among shortlisted participant is played.
The event received an overwhelming response. Most of the participation from YCCE
students and from other colleges has also shown interest as well as participation.

The Department of Electronics Engineering Organized the Techfest “ICON 24.0” under which the “Arm Wrestling” was organized. The Competition was decided to be held in offline mode. In arm wrestling each participant competes with the other participant and whoever wins goes to the next round. In arm wrestling there were only two weight categories i.e. (75 below and above) and a single winner was selected for both the categories.

The chess tournament conducted under the ICON 24.0 fest of the Electronics and telecommunication department was inaugurated on 23rd August, 2024 at 10 a.m. 54 players competed for the final round. Each player had a entry fee of 50 rupees. Each round was a knockout round. The winner stayed for the next round. The player to survive till the last round wins the tournament. Many players from the age category of 14 to 23 years competed
in the event. The event was organized by organizers Anant Gotmare and Vedant Ukey of 2nd and 3rd year respectively. The event went on till final round which was played between Vaibhav Phalkey and Prathamesh Machave. The latter won the event after a tough fight with
Vaibhav. It was a fun event enjoyed by every player and spectator. Players from various college took part in this event. The event was conducted under the surveillance of Abhishek
Darbare, Sarthak Wahane, Vinay Babar and Om Dongare.

The department of Electronics Engineering Organized the Techfest ICON 24.0 presents TALENT BLING which was held on 24 aug 2024 and started around 11AM. The Talent bling was conducted in front of the Electronics Department. The reporting time was given as 10AM and the participants reached on time. The Guest was RJ Bhavana who is Jockey at Radio Mirchi. She is a voice artist and entertainer. The event judged by Vipin Bondre Sir and K.G.Pande Sir. The list of participants was shared with the guest and judges. 

The event Organizers were Sujan Dehadrai and Samiksha Moon. The participants were so active, participants were showing their talent as singer, musician, rapper, dancer, comedian etc. it was the time were they shine on stage and captivate the crowd with their skills. We got lots of spot entries too.

The Department of Electronics Engineering successfully organized the Tech-Fest “ICON 24.0,” which featured a variety of events, one of the highlights being the “Candid Capture” photography competition. This event was designed to celebrate the creativity and talent of participants through candid photography.
This competition was conducted in online mode and the registration process began on August 18, 2024, On August 20, 2024, the organizing team distributed the submission link via the WhatsApp group, encouraging participants to upload their best candid photographs.
The submission period remained open until August 24, 2024, when the link was officially closed. The event concluded with an award ceremony where outstanding photographers and winning entries were recognized and celebrated.

The workshop featured sessions led by two distinguished speakers:
1. Vaibhav Lambat – Business Analyst at Evercam, who shared his expertise in using Power BI for business analysis, offering real-world examples and best practices.
2. Rushika Kale – Talent Intelligence Consultant at Philips, who discussed the application of Power BI in the healthcare sector and the importance of data-driven strategies.
The workshop successfully achieved its goals, enhancing the technical skills of the attendees and promoting a deeper understanding of Power BI’s applications in various industries.

The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Nagpur, in collaboration with ISF centres, organized an engaging and intellectually stimulating online project display event (Science exhibition). The event was a resounding success and served as a platform for school/college students and enthusiasts to showcase their real-life problem-solving skills and knowledge through their projects and science models. The registration form was shared on 12-08-2024. All the required instructions and online guidelines to upload the video. All the required instructions were shared with participant through WhatsApp group. Participants were asked to submit a video of their working model and a project report to support their working model. Submission link of the videos was given at 10:00 am on 23.8.2024 allowed till 11:59 pm on 23.08.2024. The submission link of the video and project report was received from IETE Nagpur to the faculty coordinator of ISF YCCE Centre. 18 teams registered out of which 16 teams submit their project on before provided time limit.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in the techfest “ICON”, organized an fun event “Funtakshari”. This event was organized under Association of Communication Engineering Students (ACES).The event was a resounding success. The registration form was shared on August 18, 2023. All the required instructions were shared with the participants through WhatsApp Group. The event took place on August 24, 2024.
The reporting time was given as 10:00 AM. The attendance sheet was signed by all participants. At 10:30 the first round of the event started. There were total 3 rounds, namely, Words war, Tune charades and Buzz battle. First two rounds were elimination round. A total of 6 teams competed in the last and final round. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and individuals interested in music.

The Department of Electronics Engineering Organized the Techfest “ICON 24.0” under which The INTELLECTRA 2.0 was organized and was successfully held on August 23, 2024. The event, designed to test participants’ skills in robotics and general, was conducted online. The registration form for the INTELLECTRA 2.0 was distributed to participants on August 10, 2024. All participants completed their registration promptly. – Reporting Time: 12:00 noon. – Location: online. All participants adhered to the reporting time and arrived punctually. The ICON competition was executed seamlessly, with all participants actively engaging and adhering to the established rules. The event team managed the proceedings efficiently, ensuring that every aspect ofthe competition was conducted as planned .The successful completion of the event underscores the effective organization and coordination by the Electronics Department, as well as the dedicated efforts of the event heads and co-heads. Their commitment to excellence contributed significantly to the overall success of the competition.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication successfully organized a weightlifting event on the 24th & 25th of August, 2024. The event aimed to engage students in a sports acticvity yet challenging activity. The Weightlifting consisted of conventional deadlift which has two rounds, the individual has to perform thir best two perfomance. A total of 14 registered for the event. The entry fee for the event was set at 120 rs per person, making the total collection ₹1680. (Online-9, Offine-5)
The event attracted a large audience, with gym fans filling the stands to cheer for their favorite lifter. The organizers also arranged for live streaming of the matches on social media platforms, which allowed those who couldn’t attend in person to watch the games online. There were various entertainment segments during breaks, including music performances and interactive games for the audience. This report summarizes the key aspects of the event and highlights its success in achieving its goals.

The Clash of Minds debate competition, part of ICON 24.O, was held on August 25, 2024,
and organized by students Shreyansh Rusia and Khushi Katre. This notable event attracted
participants from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) and other
prestigious institutions like Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering, Nagpur.
The competition was judged by Dr. Arvinder Kaur, whose expertise and fairness enriched
the event. Faculty coordinators Dr. Shweta Dhondse and Dr. Vipin Bondre played crucial
roles in ensuring smooth execution, while Ms. Khushi Katre and Ms. Shrawani Bhrushundi
adeptly hosted the event, keeping the audience engaged.
The debate showcased students’ oratory and analytical skills as they tackled complex topics
with enthusiasm. The high-energy environment highlighted the participants’ critical thinking
and eloquence. Mr. Aditya Thakare from YCCE secured 1st place, and Ms. Krutika Umale,
also from YCCE, achieved 2nd place, standing out for their clarity and conviction.
The competition fostered intellectual growth and a culture of healthy discourse, marking it
as a significant event in promoting debate and dialogue. The success of this year’s Clash of
Minds suggests promising future editions.

The Buzzwire Challenge, part of the events in ICON Techfest, was scheduled on 24th and
25th August 2024. Organized by the Association of Communication Engineering Students
(ASCES), which is the representative student organization of the Electronics and
Telecommunication Department, this exciting competition opened its doors to 67
participants were online entries and 21 were spot entries, there were total 88 entries ready
to pit their wit against the challenge.
The event was led by Soham Phalke, with coordination provided by Prof. Vipin Bondre
under the invaluable guidance of Dr. M.S. Narlawar, Head of the Department of Electronics
and Telecommunication. The entry fee was put at ₹ 30 per participant to make it affordable
for all.
It started with Round 1 on the 24th August, where the competitors compete for a pass to
higher rounds. On the 25th August, the best candidates took part in Round 2 and the final
round, enjoying an exciting competition against the 3 finalists.
This brings out much glamour and excitement in the ICON Techfest. The Buzzwire
Challenge is a clear reminder of the technical and creative competitive spirit present in the
students, making it a memorable event for all viewers on board.
